牛璇，东乡族，1994年毕业于西北第二民族学院汉语言文学专业。曾就职于青海广播电台，从事记者、编辑与节目主持的工作。2005年求学于美国夏威夷大学，获得社会学硕士学位；2008年至2013年就读于香港大学社会学系，获得哲学博士学位； 2015年9月至2017年2月为澳门大学社会学博士后。 目前在青海大学省情研究中心从事科研与教学工作。
